About Shirley

Shirley has been an animal advocate since 1991 when she became a vegetarian and later, a vegan. Shirley sits on the Advisory Council for Connecticut Votes for Animals and is active with Stratford Animal Rescue Society.

Shirley earned a Masters degree in Social Work from Fordham University and is currently employed by the Town of Stratford as the Social Services Coordinator for Senior Services. 

Shirley enjoys international travel and has volunteered at animal rescue organizations in India, Thailand, Laos and Bali. She currently resides in Lordship, a beach community in Stratford, with her Yorkie Henry.
